Principal’s message,

Dear Visitors, Greetings and warm welcome from Government Medical College (GMC), Jalaun! GMC, Jalaun is strategically located to address regional imbalances in healthcare services, research, and training. The first batch of 100 MBBS enrolled in 2013 while outpatient and inpatient services started in April, 2009. GMC Jalaun now runs various Post Graduate courses also in specialties like social and preventive medicine, Pathology, Anatomy, General surgery and ophthalmology and proposal for starting post graduate courses in other clinical branches such as anesthesia, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology has also been sent to the administration. BSc Nursing course has also been started in year 2023 with intake capacity of 60 students per year. Starting of 7 new paramedical courses such as diploma in x ray technician, physiotherapy, orthopaedic and plaster technician, optometry technician, lab technician, operation theatre technician and anaestheia and critical care technician has also been started. Patient care has been the topmost priority of our institute and serving the patient with empathy and sacrifice has been our driving force.

As a teaching institution to ensure that our students are never short of educational resources, college recently started E- library with wide collection of journals and books so that students can have access to these resources from anywhere as per their comfort. College is in process of digitalizing the attendance of each and every student of the college in the classroom as well as in their hostels by incorporating biometric system so that every students in and out activity is closely monitored.

We continuously scrutinize and improvise on services available for the patients. Recent addition include total digitalization of OPD and IPD registration. State of the art emergency OT and technologies include various diagnostic modalities available in GMC, Jalaun like digital X-ray, Digital OPG and various pathological and microbiological tests. 24 hours diagnostic facilities such as blood investigation, ECG and other services as per trauma norms have also been started.

Our departments reach out to community to provide high standard of services and feasible pattern of health care services at the grass root level.

Our mission is to make this institute of national importance where high quality of graduates and post graduates shall be produced and to serve the society and to reach out to the last man in the queue with the principals of sincerity, sacrifice and empathy.
